Dear Sandy,

Our father and husband, Sy Slutsky, was a resident of Autumn House in Grants Pass until his death in April. We would like to express our gratitude for the excellent level of care that Sy received at your facility for more than 4 years.

The staff and management of Autumn House are tireless workers and compassionate people. The support and respect that is afforded the residents and their families is beyond compare. In their care for Sy, they allowed him the freedom to treat Autumn House as his home, not an institution. They always valued him as an individual with a credible past and always kept his dignity in tact. He was treated as if he were part of their very own family.

We would like to especially thank Becky Scriber, Director, and Shari Stading, RN, for the commitment they made to our father and husband these past years, and for the respect and love they gave him. They developed a friendship with him and provided care that only comes from genuine concern and affection.

It was our pleasure to be associated with your home and the wonderful people who work there.

Dear Becky,

You know how much I have cherished you and your staff during the 15 months that John was a resident at Autumn House. It’s time I put my sentiments in writing.

As I’ve told our family and many friends, Autumn House is the finest care facility in the area. I really appreciate the loving care and respect that you and the caregivers provide to each resident, no matter how challenging their behavior might be at times. The patience shown by the staff members is remarkable.

Thank you all for giving John such fine care. I’m grateful to Pacific Living Centers for providing such a beautiful yet homey residence.

Many thanks to you, Becky, for visiting John while he was in the hospital and especially for the time you spent with John and me in his last hours when he was awake and aware of us. It was such a treat to see him smile at us!

Thanks for making me feel like a member of the Autumn House family, even though I’m no longer visiting each day.

Dear Becky,

Dad and I wanted to pass along our sincere thanks for all you did for my mom Phenice Harris.

Obviously the decision to commit a loved one to long term memory care is not an easy one. From the start, your professionalism, concern, compassion and sensitivity made it apparent that we had made the correct decision.

Each time we visited mom it was apparent that she was receiving the best care possible. She was always clean, well groomed and happy.

At the end of her earthly days we again thank you for the love and care that you showed to Phenice and for the sensitivity with which you dealt with dad and I. We could not have asked for more. We were also so very touched to see you and one of your caring staff members at mom’s memorial service.

Moving our Husband/Dad into a care facility was one of the hardest decisions our family ever had to make. When we found Autumn House, we knew everything would be okay. This was a warm home with a family atmosphere, not the institution that we had feared. Becky and her staff work very hard to take care of all the residents, treating them like their own family, with dignity and love. We really appreciate them and feel so lucky that Grants Pass has a place like Autumn House!
